A9101 is a low-cost voice SOC. In the RF section, the device integrates a high sensitivity receiver and programmable power amplifier. Based on the data rate register, the user can configure live data rates from 500kbps to 2Mbps.In the digital section, it integrates a high speed pipeline 8051 microcontroller, 16kb of in-system programmable flash memory, 256 bytes of internal SRAM, 512 bytes of external SRAM and a variety of powerful features.
The A9101 Supports fast PLL settling times for frequency hopping systems. For packet processing, the A9101 has a built-in split (128 byte) TX/RXFIFO for data buffering and burst transmission, auto-ack and au- re-send, CRC for error packet filtering, FEC (7,4 Hamming code) for 1-bit data correction per code word, RSSI for clear channel evaluation, thermal sensor for monitoring relative temperature, and WOR (WakeonRX) function to Support periodic waking up from sleep mode to RX mode and listening for incoming packets without MCU interaction, data whitening for data encryption/decryption. These features are very easy to use when developing wireless systems.
